Comprising 95% SMEs and micro-enterprises, the construction sector often resists adopting innovative technologies such as BIM, IoT, Augmented Reality, and Digital Twin. These technologies are essential for addressing challenges related to competitiveness, innovation, and sustainability.

ET4Digital aims to address these gaps by training trainers to become change agents capable of guiding SMEs toward digital transformation. The project emphasizes innovative tools and new teaching methodologies to develop advanced digital skills, create technology demonstrators, and design capacity-building programs to foster innovation and make the sector more attractive to young people and professionals.

GOALS

The ET4Digital project aims to:

  • Enhance training quality: strengthen the quality, effectiveness, and innovation in training programs for trainers and teachers in digital technologies, focusing specifically on the construction sector.
  • Support the digital transition of SMEs: provide trainers with the tools and knowledge needed to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) overcome barriers to adopting digital technologies.
  • Develop innovative tools and methods: create professional training courses, frameworks, and demonstrators to facilitate hands-on learning of digital technologies tailored to the needs of the construction sector.
  • Identify and address skills gaps: analyse and map the current skills of trainers to identify gaps and align training programs with the sector's digital requirements.
  • Foster international collaboration: engage stakeholders from six European countries to validate project results and promote knowledge exchange on digital transformation in the construction sector.

OUTCOMES
